What is paleo meaning?

Paleo, short for Paleolithic, refers to a diet and lifestyle that reflects the way humans lived during the Paleolithic era, around 2.5 million to 10,000 years ago. The paleo diet involves eating whole, unprocessed foods such as meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. It excludes grains, legumes, dairy products, refined sugars, and processed foods. The diet is based on the belief that humans have not fully adapted to the changes in agriculture and food processing that have taken place over the last 10,000 years and that a return to a more natural diet can improve health and prevent certain chronic diseases. In addition to a dietary component, the paleo lifestyle also emphasizes physical activity, sleep, stress management, and connection with nature.
